Eyelid surgery is for getting the double eyelid? It is a surgery for making eyes look more clearer.

 

Did you only think that double eyelid surgery is the only surgery for the eyes?

It is not true. There are several types of eye surgery.

2.      Apply an ice pack on surgical areas for about 3 days will be helpful.
     (3 days after an ice pack, applying a warm pack helps bruises to face away.)

3.    You can put simple eye make-up 1 week after the surgery.
     (Because of this reason, you can see people wearing sunglasses after eye surgery.)

4.     You may be able to wear contact lenses 3 weeks after the surgery.
     (We recommend you to wear glasses instead of contact lenses after eye surgery.)

5.     Please avoid sauna for a month after the surgery.

6.     During the recover, please do not rub the operated site nor close the eyes too strong.

7.     For the last, drinking alcohol and smoking are not allowed for one month.

The instructions above are the basically common post-operative instructions after eye surgery.

Even though each patient have the same type eye surgery, swelling, infection, bleeding and so on are different due to the patient’s conditions.

It’s been about 6 months since I had the double eyelid surgery and it’s becoming really natural. My eyes are more clear than before they don’t look so stuffy anymore. What to do about applying makeup after double eyelid surgery?

 
Can I apply makeup after double eyelid surgery?
It is best to refrain from applying makeup right after plastic surgery.

Taking care of yourself after double eyelid surgery is paramount in getting natural and satisfactory results. 
It is very important to reduce actions that could cause bleeding or swelling worse. Applying cold packs to the areas right after surgery can help make the veins contract as well as soothe swollen areas. That’s why applying cold packs is recommended during the healing process.

Cold packs can numb pain in the area, and are suitable for those sensitive to pain after plastic surgery. To help swelling reduce while you sleep, it’s helpful to sleep with your head in a slightly elevated position. Also, when resting or while being seated it can be helpful to keep your head tilted slightly back. 

While recovering be careful not to be too sedentary. Taking walks and performing regular, everyday activities can aid in blood flow which will help swelling reduce faster. Cosmetics for the face can be applied 3~4 days after stitch removal. However, eye makeup should be applied after at least 2 weeks. Be aware that when applying/removing makeup there is a chance it can go into the surgical area and cause an infection. For those who wear them, contact lenses should not be worn for at least 2 weeks. Be especially careful around the eyelid areas when face washing!

> Avoid crying, excessive rubbing of the eyelids, or tightly closing your eyes. You can start applying light makeup after 1 week.

> Drinking alcohol and smoking can interfere with the healing process and should is prohibited for 4 weeks.

> Contact lenses should not be worn for at least 3 weeks, and it’s recommended to wear glasses or sunglasses.
